fleeting thoughts in the morning
dawn touched the earth, her soft rays reaching, spreading, illuminating
through the clouds, her warmth shines, chases away the most bitter chills
with their eager arms, the world waits for her arrival
she's their messenger of hope, of life.
with dawn, the universe slowly awakens, rouses from their slumber.
and then, its the start of a brand new day.
will dawn bring my sun back?
or will she choose to fade back, into the darkness she came from?
erase not the bitter memories
remember not just the sweet ones
for, when they come together, they become bittersweet,
the true taste of love. savour it, feel the full burst of its flavourknow that with the sweet, bitterness followsknow that after the bitterness, the sweetness slowly takes over.and all that is left, but are distant memories.lingering, aching, wishing, loving.
that is but the essence, of falling in love, of reluctantly letting go.
