starfish for earrings

i was rudely awakened by rain, thunder and wind last night.

fell asleep with a smile, but got awoken up with a fright. wind kept howling and banging against the window, pelting rain, scary night it was. tossed abt for some time, thinking abt things, then before i knew it, alarm went off and fought the urge to throw the alarm against the wall cos i super didn't want to wake up from my weekend. haha. yes so maybe i'm in denial. watever. i'm jus happy to see u even if its for a small bit.

for yesterday i was thankful to be able to spend it with my friends. colleagues, and ex colleagues. tat the 5 of us stil managed to go out (very hard leh cos ah..sooome ppl are jus sooo very busy) and tat it was jus great fun. of course, back in the office its now 3 of us..and im already wondering wat to have for lunch. then also thankful tat i sorta managed to stop blowing my nose for like an hr or so..bleah stupid nose. it behaves so weirdly. also thankful to 3 friends i have in diff parts of the world. isn't it amazing how things like friendship don't change no matter which parts of the world u're in?

oh sidetrack abit..here's wat happened in sentosa..


back to wat i was saying..interesting how e said he likes talking to me cos i dun judge. but nothing to judge ma, jus hafta be a friend and a listener lor. by the time u judge, u won't be able to understand and see things fr the pt of the other person liao ma, right? think i shall start taking note of the good things ppl see in me. if u watched this (rather silly) chick flick called aquamarine, the mermaid has these starfish earrings. real starfish mind u. she sticks them on her ears and she loves them cos they are so great at sucking up cos they keep saying things like, 'aqua is so beautiful, her beauty shines from inside..aqua is such a kind and sweet girl' etc etc, and watever they say is actually true of the person, and not something they made up. good for reminding urself how good u actually are.

hahah instant confidence booster, guaranteed to knock the wonderbra off the shelves. so maybe we all shld have starfish earrings too? (ok disclaimer time: watched it inflight ok? nothing else to watch liao, but nothing like some mindless movie to kill time ma right? hahhaha)

i'm tryin to see good in everything ard me. i'm trying to appreciate the good in everyone ard me. i'm trying to understand the good tat i have in me. i'm trying to treasure all the good tat has happened to me, no matter how small. try la ok, yun? fail nevermind, try again next time lor hor?
