of rabbits and lip service

so off we went to pertapis..spent the whole morning and half the afternoon shifting house for them, cleaning and disinfecting the entire area..finding some fresh veggies for them cos they havent had any! gosh. then tried calling the pertapis guy umpteen times but he didnt answer..finally called us back and sounded so distracted. was quite irritated too by the lady in charge of the home..cos she seemed smiley and all tat.. but i kinda felt it was abit fake.. dunno why but jus got tat feeling tat she was jus trying to be nice to us la cos we help out at the home? .. dunno la. jus not v genuine lor i feel. watever.

apparently they've got fur mites. i sure hope i dun get any. the place was soooo freaking dirty it actually smelt like the zoo. i mean, it shldn't smell at all lor. cos got pellets and all tat ma. dunno la. damn sian. yes i'm complaining. yes its cos i can't do much abt the situation. no one else would take in sick rabbits anyway. they saw a vet, quite ex sia. hundred over bucks. lucky the owner isnt tat irresponsible yet. boss was quite nice la, to let us go off and settle this. otherwise seriously wont have any peace of mind. not tat i have a peace of mind now anyway.

but something made me smile. while we were cleaning, one small boy (think new one, neva see before) was watching us thru the window, and he said, 'thank you'. so i asked him,'thank us? why leh?' then his reply was, 'cos u give us the rabbits.' totally melted my heart. small naughty boy of 8? thanking us? tat definitely didnt seem like lip service. it was such a simple genuine thank you, one of the most sincere ones i've heard so far. so thank you, for making me realise tat in my state of helplessness, we did manage to do something good here. i gues these are the things tat truely matter.

went back to office, severely tired out. was tired, miserable, hungry, jus the right combi to give u the best of monday blues. luckily our pet food supplier helped us out and brought them to the vet.. wont noe wat to do without her..

then had a v funny chat with the boss, a meaningless but cute one with my colleague in indo, received a few nice songs to listen to, then went off for shopping! and dinner! and a movie! cos it was my fren's bdae. oh realised i didnt blog abt the weekend. hahah okok soon, cos gotta get pics up as well. cos it was a super fun weekend hahahaha. but well its finally tuesday.. and yet another day has passed.

I like the story of the little boy who surprised you with "Thank you"--I especially like what he helped you to realize. Shuyun learns something valuable from small boy--good teacher, that kid. My friend is not so numb that she cannot be open to such an important happening. Hen bang!
