i feel like the world's burdens have been transferred upon me.
yes i'm exaggerating, but it feels like it.
its like, suddenly i've been tasked to get out all the labels for our new pdts. its like really not easy to tell a designer wat exactly i wan for the label cos i'm like not trained to comment on it? its not as simple as saying ok, i wan this this this. u gotta be able to put ur finger on wat exactly is wrong. then there are mistakes, changes, misinterpretations, dilly-dallying and all tat is normal during work. cos for one i'm not working with the team directly in sg. how to convince ur team overseas to see ur pt of view? and get them to follow thru? then i gotta manage deadlines, and make sure everyone is on track.
but design work is a creative process isnt it? how to push for deadlines? it jus means compromise compromise and compromise and settle for something i might not necessarily like. or something the bosses wont even like in the first place. but in the first place, design brief is not done by me, which means i gotta tread carefully and make sure i dont step on anyones toes or tails. but yet make sure things come out on time, and saleable. then i'm supposed to push for things to go thru, but i'm not very comfortable with being pushy or demanding. (yes i noe that i am, so why is there a problem with me being me isnt it? i dunno. i dunno laaaa.)
coordination is getting so tiring i'm so tempted to jus fly over to the respective countries and work with them direct. i'm like SO frustrated and pekchek i hope i dont implode. then also need to sort out pdt direction for next year and plan ahead. then there is sg operations. sometimes i really wonder if all these tests thrown to me are really for a purpose, or part of a practical joke in lieu of next years april fools day.
