excuse me
wat do u make excuses for?
for imperfections on your part?
for someone else's faults?
to make someone else feel better?
to brush things aside?
to make urself look better?
to lessen guilt?
to preserve the last shreds of dignity?
to keep some hope against all hope?
maintain some semblance of optimism?
wont tat make it a euphemism? for lying?
but excuses must be made.
for not everyone is as accepting of faults and imperfections.
for we ourselves can be our biggest, harshest critics.
for face, really.
for ours, for others.
think of the times we've made excuses for our behaviour.

cos there's just no excuse for covering up the truth.
