understanding understanding
dont ever underestimate the importance of understanding, she said.
i dont, but there's alot more to that sentence if u think abt it more clearly. this shld be an entry on communication, but i find it more apt coming from the understanding angle.
cos in this whole understanding business, u need to understand wat u're talking abt, then try to understand how to get ur pt across, and pray the other party will understand, and then u gotta try to understand how the person replied.
u gotta understand where the person is coming from, understand tat he or she might not understand you so u have to understand how to prevent misunderstandings.
understanding diff accents, understanding diff cultures, mentalities, depth of how an issue affects diff ppl differently, blah blah blah
then there is the problem of conveying messages and making a 3rd party understand wat someone else or urself said.
how do u make someone understand? how do u not give up understanding someone tho its hard? how do u make someone understand you are trying to understand? i'm trying my best to understand.
but can u understand all this? i really cant quite understand though.
