i seem to be a shoe jinx.
in tw, i caused the breakage of 2 pairs of sandals, once when i reached, once more before i left. the shoes have hence been laid to rest, while all of my own are perfectly fine.
in hk, i caused someone's heel to break off, to which i cleverly suggested using my chewing gum to stick it back.
i must have a shoe affinity. & never underestimate the power of mentos gum. good stuff i tell u.

first, the straps for one side snapped. then, the other side gave way too. here's min with her new pair which thankfully didnt give way.
i bet they couldnt bear to part with me.. and snapped in protest.

ok, 'nuff abt the nonsense. time to get serious.
so i got a 3 day mc after seeing the doc. i think he was highly amused tat i had no voice. (yiyi too was super amused cos she apparently wasnt used to me without a voice.. i ALREADY said i'm on my way to being lady like ok....)
bah.
like i said, hk wasnt great. it never was someplace i really looked forward to. surprisingly, this trip wasnt tat bad, cos the exhibition was quite small, and then missbebe joined in the fun at wanchai. the damn wharney was near the red light district, and the hardworking ppl at the district were already in full force as early as 5pm. early bird catches the worm huh.. abit too early also lor!
apart fr the food and shopping (which i got quite sick of after a bit..with all the clothes and shoes starting to swim in front of my eyes as blurred images) as saving grace, i absolutely hated the crowds.. SO MANY PPL!! at all times leh.. not like there are less ppl on weekday working hours.. its the SAME amount of ppl.. argh!! and the weather.. SUCKED.. one moment drizzle, then lazy open umbrella. next moment hot sun, damn hot, then after tat pour like crazy, 1 big umbrella also not enough tat kind.. wah liew.. sickening lor..
anyway, tho din get to go to the ndp parade, got to witness the handover anniversary thingy here in hk. on tv la, i not to siao to squeeze with all the mainlanders and hongkies. and i bumped into lipei at yung kee, so qiao! of course, since there were sales everywhere, shopping had to be good. went to quite a few places previously unexplored, quite an adventure ba. (shit all my trips are adventures.. or comic relief?)
ooo and ladies, i'm converting to testimo. not even majorlica makes the cut anymore. testimo is super good la! for e/s i mean. Kate gel liner not bad, got the glittery brown one. too bad the silver tiffa liner ran out..tat one nice! but ah..eternal nail polish and the loreal lacquer one sucks man. REALLY. streaky, colour dont come out well. sigh, wasted cos the colours were really nice in the bottle.
as for food, stop drooling. i'll foodblog it later when i'm bored. this mc will come in handy for me to clear work and my luggage!!
