i shld be studying.

with all the korean dramas the mom has been watching (somewat obsessively i might add), i too, got my fair share of kimchi and watnotelse in between action potentials and oxyntic secretions.

give me japanese dramas anyday, or american tv like house or csi. korean dramas are way too, well, drama for my liking. yes, the romance bit is, yes romantic, to the point of bittersweet tragedy, but ya its really not my cup of tea. its too fake. i dont know if its good cos i suppose it gives u hope that love triumphs all, but then again its a show. kudos, to the scriptwriters though, i dont know if its a collective expression of their past life experiences, or an overly imaginative erm imagination.

real life where got so complicated one?? where got so many ppl kenna kidnapped (cos u supposedly 'hit where it hurts most' ie the guy's lady love to get back at him) or dumbasses risking their lives infiltrating some gang trying to get evidence to help the girl or wat not one?? got brain use brain, why go and do something stupid then end up in hospital and jail?

alamak.

ok i'm not 100% cynic, i do cry at sad romantic movies, cos i really do feel so sad for the guy or the girl but ah, these are abit the overdone la. like a celeb's photo tat's been overly photoshopped, such tat u know, cant be real one la.

ok, there is a pt to all this.

tat, we are never contented. with who we have, even tho we know very very well how the other party feels towards us, and yet we cannot bring ourselves to reciprocate in the same capacity. alas, we are contented with suffering, anguishing over ppl we cannot be with (for watever reasons, tragic or the typical jus-discovered-to--my-horror-he-or-she-is-my-half-sibling sorts), because we 'see' a better life with them and just somehow cannot see beyond that illusion, for lack of a better word.

in short, we just want things that we cannot have. we think that the things we cant or dont have, simply must be the best. and we need to recognise that to pull ourselves out of the rut.

that is a lesson that has been learnt and now must be put to practise.
