was looking around for alternative means to help me remember wat i've studied and came across this.
i think its fascinating.
the full length version (the 8min Inner Life) is equally as fascinating, check out the kinesin systemetically pulling (plodding i would say, somehow reminds me of wall-e) the extremely cumbersome vesicle along the microtubule highway! (of course, i also never really did realise how closely protein translation mimicked one of our everyday motions, no pun intended seriously)
and this one on cancer, reminded me of how i loved working on prostate cancer back at the lab. questions begging to be answered, answers churning out more questions, the never ending cycle tat can go on for years, lifetimes and more and yet somehow you never tire of it. anyway this girl is quite amazing, even tho she has too many 'ands' in her sentences, but she's of course forgiven =0))
i am inspired once again in bio! it never fails to amaze me wat we really are capable of. if our cells can be so amazing, then shouldnt we, as a collection of trillions of cells, shld be doing so much much much more?
yet another TED video, this one's such a wonderfully cute anecdote.
and guys!! this is specifically for you. LOCAL WARMING IS HAZARDOUS!! hiaks!
