quiet pride reading this.

duno why but i actually was following her updates prior to the paralympics, until the trip to msia totally threw me off the track in terms of local news. catching up today and woohoo congrats to her and her horse!

not sure how the response to the win has been in sg, seems pretty quiet? not even sure how many know of her, or her story either?

how unfortunate (and hypocritical??) it must be then, for us to anticipate and celebrate winning 'our' medal and discount the achievements of 'our' own. =0)

but then again, what makes a singaporean singaporean? who is more of a singaporean, someone who has converted to citizenship and has lived here the past few yrs, or someone born on local ground and has lived abroad since she was 3? so perhaps, my criticism is abit biased too.

and 'nothing to lose', how apt a name. its when we have nothing to lose that we give our entirety, and end up being the very best (but sometimes worst too) we can be.

when you have nothing, no fear, no qualms, no nothing at all, what can possibly stop you?

on a totally different note, this is quite cute. and this vid is quite funny. hehe

there you go! the solution of all our supernatural fears!
