this is about the ugly side of our society.
the other day, i was queuing at the atm and i thought i'd be next in line when a middle aged lady pushed her hubby (i tink) towards it too, so i let them go first.
the guy managed to stand up himself and carried on with his numerous transactions. one after the other, and a rather long line formed already. oblivious, he carried on with a cashcard topup but something went wrong. so he tried again.
at that pt, all of us were tired of waiting, having stood there for a good 10mins. my knee was achey, but it was the lady behind me who surprised us. she spoke loudly to the uncle, 'uncle ni hao le mei you? ke yi zai pai dui ma? wo men deng hen jiu liao'
the uncle got angry. and he scolded the woman back, about his rights to use, about there not having any sign saying he couldnt do multiple transactions, and said, shit you, who the shit do you think you are?
the lady tried to tell him about the long queue, to which he rudely responded with, 'you say somemore, i take even longer than u know. shit you, now i forget what i want to do, shit you man!'
the rest of us just told the lady not to bother with him, cos he was plain unreasonable. who says things like, 'you have money i also have money one ok!' ?
at least his wife spoke nicely, told us to go to the other atm. but the outspoken lady said that atm was down. so mr wheelchair continued his tirade, and by then there was a huge crowd already. he left, i completed my transaction in about half a min.
i thanked the outspoken lady, for speaking up for us, cos i wont do such things, even as i thought she could have been abit more diplomatic. but i couldnt believe there are ppl who can be so inconsiderate as the uncle, who not only did not feel apologetic at causing others inconvenience, but still used vulgarities, and at a woman. how do you expect ppl to feel sorry for you, and respect you? i definitely dont.
this is about the funny thing called coincidence.
singapore is real small i tell you, time after time, my friends and their friends realise they know each other, and everyone somehow or rather becomes inexplicably linked. just today, i thought my old friend (J) and not-so-old friend (A) shared the same wedding photographer, so i asked A to check out J's wedding photos, and yes it was the same photographer. but then she realised tht she knew J's bride, cos the bride's close friend was also A's friend! haha amazing.
i never fail to marvel at the tons of other related and AMAZING links i've encountered.
this is about how i struck toto.
well almost, considering how much the damn earrings cost. finally found! i'm happie!
and this, is my bed time and i shall relish every moment of it. yay to early sleeping hours!
